This image highlights the areas of York, Chester, Lancaster and Fairfield Counties of South Carolina and shows their respective location within the central part of the upstate.

It was from these four counties of South Carolina the majority of men whom were destined to become members of the 6th Regiment originated.

Today there are many descendants of these brave and dedicated men still living in the area.
